National Training Packages
All students undertaking Farm Skills over the two year course have the opportunity to complete the core competencies and sufficient other Units of Competence to achieve Certificate II in Agriculture RTE 20103 from the Agriculture Training Package RTE 03.
In Year 12 students have the opportunity to specialise in a range of area specific qualifications under the Agriculture Training Package at Certificate II Level.
These include specialisation in:
- Beef Production
- Grain Production
- Sheep and Wool Production
- Pig Production
In addition to the above specialisations, students may also choose to complete:
- Certificate II in Wool Handling RTE 20303
- Certificate II in Shearing RTE 20403
- Certificate II in Crutching RTE 20503
Students undertaking Certificate II in Wool Handling can complete an onsite after hours program with C. Y. O'Connor TAFE to achieve a Certificate III in Wool Clip Preparation RTE 31403.
Students undertaking Engineering in both Year 11 and 12 have the opportunity to complete sufficient competencies to be awarded a Certificate II in Engineering MEM 201 05 from the Manufacturing Engineering Training Package MEM 05.
Students studying Automotive Workshop in both Year 11 and 12 will complete sufficient competencies to achieve a Certificate II in Automotive AUR 207 05 from the Automotive Industry Training Package AUR 05.
Students studying Building Construction in both Year 11 and 12 will complete sufficient competencies to achieve a Certificate II in General Construction BCG 201 03 from the General Construction Training Package BCG 03.
Students undertaking Furniture Design in both Year 11 and 12 have the opportunity to complete sufficient competencies to be awarded a Certificate I in Furnishing LMF 10102 from the Light Manufacturing - Furnishing Training Package LMF 02.
All the above national qualifications can be built upon post graduation through the completion of a Level III Traineeship or a course at TAFE.
