Year 11 Course

The Year 11 course consists of a mix of compulsory subjects with a range of optional subjects.

Students can select optional subjects to design a course with either an Agribusiness (Agricultural theory) focus or a practical Trades focus.

Students aiming for further education at Muresk (Curtin University) or TAFE are advised to select the optional subject Management and Marketing plus two other subjects.

Those students seeking an apprenticeship or employment in a trades area are advised to select three optional Design & Technology subjects.

  • English 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D
  • Maths in Practice
  • Animal Production and Marketing
  • Plant Production and Marketing
  • Trade Technical Drawing
  • Physical Education
  • Farm Skills – (Incorporating Certificate II in Agriculture)

Optional Subjects (Choose 3 of the following):

  • Automotive Workshop – (Incorporating Certificate I in Automotive)
  • Engineering– (Incorporating Certificate I in Engineering)
  • Furniture Design and Technology – (Incorporating Certificate I in Furnishing)
  • Building Construction – (Incorporating Certificate I in General Construction)
  • Management and Marketing
  • Senior Science
