Year 12 Course

The Year 12 course consists of three compulsory subjects with a choice from a large list of optional subjects.

Students can select optional subjects to design a course with a focus on either:

  • Agribusiness.
  • Trades.
  • Agricultural Enterprise.

Students will receive guidance and counselling to assist them to choose subjects appropriate to access future intended pathways.

Compulsory Subjects:

  • English 2A, 2B or 1C, 1D
  • Farm Skills (Incorporating Certificate II in Agriculture specialisations)
  • Physical Education

Optional Subjects (Choose 3 of the following):

  • Modelling with Maths
  • Muresk Maths
  • Plant Production and Marketing
  • Animal Production and Marketing
  • Management and Marketing
  • Senior Science
  • Automotive Workshop – (Incorporating Certificate II in Automotive)
  • Engineering– (Incorporating Certificate II in Engineering)
  • Furniture Design and Technology (Incorporating Certificate I in Furnishing)
  • Building Construction – (Incorporating Certificate II in General Construction)
  • Additional Farm Skills

Short Course:

In Year 12 students completing Certificate II in Wool Handling can elect to undertake an onsite after hours program with C. Y. O'Connor TAFE to achieve a Certificate III in Wool Clip Preparation.

This ten week course will give students the equivalent of an ‘Owner/Classer Certificate’.
